Mega Plaza started as a video club called Mega Movies in 1990. It was then situated at Federal Palace Hotel, shop 70 Ahmadu Bello way Victoria Island, Lagos.
By 1991, Mega Movies was already the leading Video Club in the Lagos metropolis, and this was as a result of the growth in our memberships which was so rapid that the office space it occupied at the Federal Palace Hotel could not contain its operations.

Mega Plaza defied the laws of Gravity when the shop was relocated to 21B kofo Aboyomi Street in October 1992. The shop was no longer a video club, it had other departments such as electronics, gifts, sports, pharmacy, pop corn/ icecream, CD and Laser Discs which was the trend in those days. |

To live up to its name and to be the true leader in the industry, a new Mega Plaza was born after four years. The new century 21 mall was then relocated to 14 Idowu Martins street, Victoria Island, Lagos, thus Mega plaza became an Ultra modern, state of the art one stop shopping mall.The first of its kind in the West African sub-region, customers came all the way from Ghana and availed themselves of our unique services. |

Every business is not without its high and lows but in all things we give thanks to God. On the 17th of February 2005 there was a fire out break which brought down a major part of the Mega Plaza building.Goods worth millions of Naira was in the incident. Today, Mega Plaza is back, bigger better and stronger. |
